You’re sitting at your desk; you take a quick glance out the window to admire a warm sunny California afternoon. The “tick-tock” of the clock gets louder and louder as you notice just how slow the minutes crawl. Only 5 minutes stand between you and the paradise of pleasure that is RECESS!!! 
Those were the days, running like mad on the playground. Handball, Jump Rope, Tag, Hop Scotch or any other game you and your friends happened to make up that day were all that mattered. The tests, homework, deadlines and book reports fell to the back of your mind as you embraced the freedom of running as fast as you could and screaming at the top of your lungs.
Where oh where did recess go? Is it possible to get it back??
I’m happy to inform you that recess is alive and well. Recess can be found at your local gym, at the park down the street, on the beach and even in your own living room. Sure it may not be a mid-morning event but you can insert it into your day.
Make recess a daily event!
- Gather a group of friends and meet for a game of basketball, a yoga class, a beach run or dancing!
- Sign up for a bootcamp or schedule a small group training appointment with a personal trainer!
- Meet your friends at the playground for a retro fitness activity you enjoyed in your youth (Handball, Dodgeball, Hide and Seek, Hop Scotch, Rollerblading)
