Weight training allows your body to build lean muscle mass that increases your metabolism and allows for a greater calorie burn (resulting in a reduction in body fat). How you weight train determines how your body looks. For a person that wants to reduce body fat and tone, a total body routine with a combination of higher reps (15 reps or greater) with lower weight and moderate reps (10-12 reps) with moderate weight will work well. Whereas for individuals that want to bulk up the strategy would be quite different.
If your goal is to lose weight and tone up how does weight training fit into the picture? (Especially for women that don’t want to get “too big”)
